pillowcases

I am embroidering 'his and hers' pillowcases for the mr and I. I have a vintage transfer for hope chest patterns of 'grace and charm' that I am using and it is beautiful.

my son's toy snowmobile was driving through some black paint today 'making prints'. That got boring fast so he painted some whiskers on his cheeks.

washing day

I love my clothesline. I really really do. I love how clothes smell that have been dried on the line, I love how stiff and scratchy everything is and I love how white the sun bleaches the cloth diapers. At the last house we lived in I couldn't have a clothesline or a compost and I always felt like I wasn't really myself.

end of the day

spring is always so busy. the days pass so quickly, my 'to do' lists can't even begin to keep up. i have seeds to plant, shirts to make, quilts to sew and socks to knit but my kids just want to be outside discovering a new season. i took this picture at the end of a really busy day, when i put my feet up before starting the dishes.
